Which malloc is this ?

 Hi folks,

Finally ... the long awaited 5.3 release of jemalloc is available after years of waiting. A decent amount of improvements and fixes mentioned in the changelog even though this wait period since the 5.2.1 release had not necessarily been in its favor thus alternatives and more modern solutions gained more recognition as a result. But it's all for the best, the more solutions to fit certain use cases, the better !

Speaking of alternatives, microsoft snmalloc released its 0.6.0 version (aka snmalloc 2, the internals had been largely rewritten since), I invite you to read the docs if you re interested of the changes. Note that snmalloc finally appears in the isoalloc's security features comparison.

Nevertheless, been glad to have been a bit involved in both :-)
